Terms of Service

LAST UPDATED · MAY 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of crewlog.io, our mobile applications, and related services (the “Service”), provided by Crewlog Inc. (“Crewlog”, “we”, “us”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the authority to enter into a contract on behalf of yourself or your organization. By accepting these Terms on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. Account responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
  • You may not share your account with anyone outside your organization.

3. Free trial, subscriptions, and billing

  • New accounts include a 14-day free trial with full Pro access. No credit card is required to start the trial. You will not be charged during the trial period.
  • At the end of the trial, your account becomes read-only unless you actively choose a paid plan and provide payment details.
  • Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method automatically.
  • Pricing is published on the Pricing page and may change with 30 days' notice.
  • Your subscription automatically renews until cancelled.
  • You may cancel at any time through Settings or the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Refund eligibility is described in our Refund Policy.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to violate any law, regulation, or third-party right.
  • Upload content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, or violates intellectual property rights.
  • Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to access.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service.
  • Use the Service to send spam, conduct phishing, or distribute malware.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our written consent.
  • Interfere with the Service's operation or other users' use.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of all content you create in the Service (logs, voice recordings, photos, transcripts). You grant Crewlog a limited license to host, store, transmit, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service to you and your organization.

You are responsible for the content you create. You represent that you have the right to upload any content and that it doesn't violate any law or third-party right. You are responsible for backing up important content; we maintain backups but are not a substitute for your own backup practices.

6. Sealed logs and chain-of-custody

Crewlog provides cryptographic chain-of-custody features (SHA-256 hashes, signed timestamps, GPS metadata) for sealed logs. These features are designed to support evidence of when and where logs were created. We do not guarantee that sealed logs will be admissible in any specific legal proceeding — admissibility depends on applicable law and the discretion of the relevant court. Crewlog does not provide legal advice.

7. Service availability

We aim for 99.5% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. Scheduled maintenance windows will be announced in advance when possible.

8. Termination

  • You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and requesting deletion.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, fail to pay, or for legal reasons.
  • On termination, we will retain sealed logs as required by law and the policies described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Crewlog and its officers, employees, and partners are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Crewlog harmless from any claim arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts of the State of New York, and you consent to jurisdiction and venue there.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
